My touchpad is acting daft

So, while working on a term paper last night, my Toshiba Satelite started acting up.

The touchpad sometimes wont left click, and has stopped right clicking entirely. Also, I can't click and drag anymore.

Any possible reasons or fixes for this, without me having to buy a mouse?

Upon further review:

the touchpad doesn't click in any fashion when in MSWord

It won't right-click evar.

The left clicking only works half the time. Clicking and dragging only seems to work in Firefox.

Any help?

Uninstall Firefox. It's obvious that it is malware trying to infect your MS products.

So I uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.

Now, dragging occasionally works. Left clicking is still on and off, but when left clicking doesnt work, right clicking does.

Guh?!
