    Plunger v sword fight ends badly

    Fear the awesome power of my plunger... There are those who call it 'The Widowmaker'.

    A man was treated in hospital after he was impaled on a sword, after a 'play fight' with his brother went a bit wrong.

    That the fight wouldn't end well might have been guessed by the fact that one brother had a sword, while the other only had a plunger. Thus ingoring the well known phrase, 'never bring a plunger to a sword fight.'

    Perhaps unexpectedly, it seems that the plunger might actually have been the more effective weapon. Those Daleks clearly know what they're doing.

    According to police reports, the boy lunged at his brother with the plunger, which promptly suctioned itself hard to his stomach.

    It was as the man was trying to remove the plunger from his brother's stomach that, apparently, he managed to impale himself on the sword.

    The man was taken to hospital in the brothers' hometown of Denton, Texas, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. It is not currently known if the plunger has yet been removed from the brother's stomach.
    Good job we don't know any dumbasses from Texas on Poly, eh Sloww...

      Yeah, to be a proper dalek you need a plunger in one hand and an egg-whisk in the other. The cultural penetration of Dr Who is clearly not complete.

                Because it's just Mobius crap. It doesn't bother me.

                If it were about any other section of the world population, it might be closed.
                The fact is both Ming and Rah know 2 things:

                A) Mobius is just a ****forbrains.
                B) Texans are tough enough to take it.

                      Hmmm .... for me this is just a silly story that could happen anywhere. I tried to help deflect attention away from the troll and on to daleks, but it seems not to have worked.

                      I don't see why it would have been closed were the story from anywhere else, but I agree that the comments added in the OP were odious.

                          Title. Well the guys must be dumbasses, given what happened. They are alive but not necessarily well (one cleverly got himself stabbed by a sword and I doubt a plunger stuck to your guts is especially comfortable - not to mention bruised egos!). Lastly, it happened in Texas.

                          Therefore 'Living proof that Dumbasses are alive (but not necessarily well) in Texas!' is merely a statement of fact rather than being a personal attack...

                          Here I am applauding the relative non-dumbassedness of Texan posters on Poly - a compliment for heaven's sake!

                          Why would a Texan receiving such a compliment think otherwise, unless he knew he was a dumbass that is...

                          In fact the only person that is the victim of a personal attack on this thread is ME! Slowwhand I demand an apology for your unprovoked personal attack, especially in light of my complimentary comments regarding Poly Texans!
