Even if you don't support his positions, you have to admit that his ad was pretty well done. It certainly beats the ads that have been running down here in southeast VA.

      Slate's take:

If there were an Oscar for political slime, it would go to "Twilight Zone," a spot run by Vernon Robinson, a congressional challenger in North Carolina. In 60 seconds, the ad manages to tie Democrat Brad Miller to Osama, gay marriage, "lesbians and feminists," activist judges, infanticide, flag-burning, racial quotas, space aliens, illegal immigrants, Jesse Jackson, and Al Sharpton.

I think Miller needs to be brought in front of the men of the square table.

They've even taken over the DMV!

            I just saw that line.

            Unbelievable!

I'm not sure how flag-burning constitutes "sacrilege," TBH, let alone an unbelievable one.

Yeah, I find that a bit blasphemous myself.

                    Wouldn't cross-burning be blasphemous, too?

I wouldn't trust the wing-nuts' characterization in the little chart, but assuming it's true:

Gas tax? Not necessarily a good thing, as it's a regressive tax.

                      Vote against price gouging penalties?

Against border patrol increases... I'm not a wetbackophobe and think the whole thing is near hysterical, but Border Patrol is significantly understaffed for their assigned mission.

Resident tuition for illegal immigrants is a joke - unless you get rid of the resident distinction entirely. Someone from out of state pays higher tuition for being honest about their residency status?

I'm not in favor of handgun or other firearms bans applied to law-abiding citizens. I have no problem with waiting periods, more stringent background checks and licensing requirements, but I'm not a ban the guns lefty nut.

Pledge of Allegience - who cares what the wording is, it's not a big enough issue to ban or constrain the existing wording. If someone is offended, who cares?

                          To some voters it is.

Well, I'm certainly against it. I'm even more opposed to burning black people, which I believe the same people do. Apparently they do not think it's blasphemous, but these are people who look around themselves at a monster truck rally and think, "Yep, the Master Race," so logic is a bit much to expect of them.
