The Taliban are killing all sorts of people not just troops. They're killing civilians who they think are sufficently helping them. They're killing civilians who vote. They're killing women for the crime of going to school or learning to read. They are killing people are the roads who don't agree to pay protection money. They're killing any government employee they can find.

They're killing all sorts of people and not just civilians including by using bombs in crowded market places. They are terrorists.

Has there been any proof that Osama is alive since he was last reported dead? I think that he's dead.

Do you really? I want to think he is, but somehow I just can't.

I'm of the opinion that it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, whether he's alive or not. It's not like his death will mean it's all over.

I think it does matter. IF he's dead, he didn't go out in a blaze of glory. He died sick, hiding in the wilderness wondering if each day was the day he would be found and brought to trial. A leader that preached suicide attacks but couldn't bring himself to do it, but stayed in hiding fearful every day. That's what they have to look forward to when they choose their path.

If I didn't think all that was sufficient excuse for bombing them, I'd be unlikely to change opinion just because you labeled them "terrorist".

There's a weird meme that's been floating around in recent years that unless someone is a "terrorist", it's not justified to attack them. Being a murderer and sworn enemy of freedom, democracy, mom and apple pie somehow doesn't seem enough to warrant being stopped unless he's also a "terrorist".
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?
