Yeah, and at the same time, CFC really is under attack - mass spam registration.

My opinion of CFC is mixed. It is more popular, and has more people in the CFC, and has more Civ mods, but that's about it. The moderators are crap (HARDCORE MODERATOR ACTION!) - probably my biggest peeve is the fact that they don't allow "personal" threads, for fear of an elitist atmosphere.

As well, the overall intelligence level of the OT forum there is much lower. Many more dumb people - although the overall political atmoshpere is more moderate, (And that is not what I am considering dumb) there are a lot more people who don't know how to argue well.

Apolyton really is a matter of quality VS quantity, but then again, that's generally because CFC simply has more people to suck.

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is a "personal" thread? Could you give an example?

Sir Ralph is right in that their Civ-related forums are more active, and they definitely have the more active modding community. I haven't checked out their strat forums lately, but ours is pretty sleepy (notwithstanding Blake's excellent work). It's not dead, though.

Apolyton's OTF is much better.

Basically, threads relating to the original poster in a topic. Advice, especially relating to depression or girls or the like. My main problem with it is the justification. I could understand if CFC would not want the drama involved, and how it could go to trouble. However, the justification is only so that CFC wouldn't form an atmosphere of elitist members! (Despite the fact that all forums, including CFC, has the entire "elitist" regular member thing)

I say we all make profiles at CFC. Then we make tons of spam threads, enough to cover the front page, on the OT forum. Then we continue to spam them so they remain on the top. Also we spam all other threads so they will have to search for non spam posts.

Who is with me?
