51% of Americans think impeachment should be on the agenda!

As a rule, I prefer not to bring up impeachment, because it's just folly. Dems on the Hill don't want ...

Other parts of a potential Democratic agenda receive less support, especially calls to impeach Bush: 47 percent of Democrats say that should be a "top priority," but only 28 percent of all Americans say it should be, 23 percent say it should be a lower priority and nearly half, 44 percent, say it should not be done.

I hope the Dems really broadcast their plans for impeachment before the midterms. Should really help out.

Sweeping the fact we were lied into a war under the carpet is not good, therefore impeachment is good...and it'll increase my respect for the Dems. Or should I say, create some respect for the Dems...

I supported impeaching Clinton, how could I possibly oppose impeaching these clowns?

Yeah, that would be so typical Democrat style. ***** and moan about how bad the repugs are and all the bad things they did. Finally get back in power and spend the next two years focused on impeachment instead of actuall fixing anything. Best scenario outcome is the succeed and Dick becomes pres and at the end of the two years they're still trying to get any focus and the repugs are back in charge.

Oh, like the Republicans focused all their energies during Clinton's administration on NOT scoping his penis?

And if I remember correctly that was the biggest gripe with democrats. Did they learn from that. I bet not.
They will be just as silly.

Yes, because supporting something a majority of Americans support is the way to lose.

The difference, of course, was that then, a majority of Americans did not support the investigations into the President and that after years and years of poking and prodding into every little nook and crevice, were unable to come up with any real evidence of law breaking.

In comparison, the Bush Administration has repeatedly violated FISA and has continued to do so even after being exposed and has said it will continue to do so. Then there's lying to Congress, torture, kidnapping, gross dereliction of duty, no bid handouts to politically connected companies, etc. etc.

If it were simply about revenge 51% of Americans wouldn't support impeachment being on the agenda. Once the investigations start, I expect that number to climb. Assuming, of course, that the GOP doesn't steal the election.

It will be about revenge and it will cost them in 2008.

And while the repugs didn't prove a lot of things, lying under oath is illegal. If you believe that the clintons were lilly white above board in everything they've done, I want what you're smokin.

Sometimes it takes a bigger man to not fixate on revenge but actually try to accomplish something bigger. But since they don't have any good ideas, they'll settle for revenge.

The repugs looked silly on their witch hunt and the dems (lacking any imagination) will end up looking the same.

Sounds great to me. Do you really want the Dems to try and 'fix' things? You know what their idea of 'fixing' things is, don't you?

I'd love for Bush to be impeached, but I'd prefer to see him impeached for his failures on immigration than the war in Iraq. Still, I'll take what I can get.
