    I got myself a new machine!

    Yes indeed!

    It's an Athlon 3500+ 64 Bit processor 2.2ghz on a m2vn-tm (or something) Motherboard with 1024m 667 RAM and an ATI 1600 Radeon 256 meg card with 320g of hard disk space!

    Rome Total War runs so smooth with the graphic options all the way to the max. It's awesome. Half-Life 2 also! Yeehaa!

      If you want to test its limits, try the MTW2 demo.
      We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

              Medieval total war 2. Its due out in Nov but the demo is available now. If you liked RTW you'll probably love this one. Me, I'm waiting for the reviews/patches etc since I was disappointed with RTW.

                          It's funny because I find my Athlon 64 3200+ to be painfully slow.

                              Asher, you tried overclocking it? I got my 3200+ up to 2.6Ghz on air cooling using a £20 third party HSF.

                              It wasn't exactly a Core 2 Duo but it certainly boosted things a fair bit.
