  • Dönitz: A New Führer (BBC)

Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Don't know this show but the premise is brilliant. Good writing

I thought it was good. They merged history (Dornitz was Hitler's successor and signed the surrender accords) with a bit of poetic license. Nicely done.

            Funny stuff
Ef þú getur lesið þetta þá kanntu kannski íslensku. Það getur verið að þú sért að vera sniðugur eins og viss herramaður sem ég nafngreini ekki. Eða að þú sért Færeyingur eða Nojari.

"If its one thing we've learnt from the last thousand miles of retreat, its that Russian agriculture is in dire need of mechanisation."

Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.
              -Richard Dawkins

                          Its a British show.

                          Of course
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Which living person do you most despise?

                              George Galloway.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Sitting through Lost In Translation without becoming homicidal.
