  • Defending thesis tomorow

Mostly a lurker here, read a lot, post not so much.
Can't even remember the last time I posted a new thread, if I ever did.
Anyway, I never understood why people make threads about what's new in their lives, yet here I am

I'm defending my Master's Thesis in Mathematics tomorrow. It's called "Shifts in Cayley Graphs", in Algebraic Graph Theory.

The examinators already saw a version of my presentation and the comments to the actual thesis were very positive so everything should go well.
I've presented it 4-5 times already, including a conference in Portugal yet but I'm still kind of anxious, a few of my friends and even my dad might be there.

Anyway, this is a pretty big moment for me so I wanted to share it
Anybody else have similar things happen to him recently or soon and want to share?
    Or just wish me luck.

I have a presentation at the DNP meeting in October that I am stressing about (I haven't finished the analysis for it yet..). I had a Thesis in undergrad, and the presentation went fairly awful...

I have heard stories of people having to go back and spend a year or so more on fixing stuff up. But mostly now days the thesis defense is just a formality. It has already been approved by most everyone who cares, and while the time is almost always stressful (and results in some minor corrections), it is almost always successful.

In the best tradition of Poly OT, I'd be happy to school you on Shifts in Cayley Graphs, but it seems you won't make enough time to absorb my wisdom so I won't bother.

Yes, as I said I already have my examinator's comments which are mostly great, so somehow it's mostly a formality.
But as you say, it's still stressful.
Just sent the final version of my presentation to my supervisor so off to bed !
