  • Taekwondo vs Shaolin kung fu

A shaolin monk fights a teakwondo dude. I like the monk's style and I feel he's better than his opponent, despite the fact that he's almost always on the defensive.

Shaolin Shadowboxing and the Wu-Tang swordstyle. If what you say if true, the Shaolin and the Wu-Tang could be dangerous. Do you think your Wu-Tang sword can defeat me?

EN GARDE! I'll let you try my Wu-Tang style!
To us, it is the BEAST.

I feel they are both tools. Artistically speaking, it's great. I like the monk a lot. I terms of actually being able to fight? Tools. Serious tools.

To be honest, I feel that Kung fu is often more a form of dance than a useful martial art.

It depends on what Shengong wu they are using.

Not a very interesting fight, considering it ended with neither side gaining a point! Gotta love the TKD launching into a kick about 6 and a half feet in the air fighting someone several inches short of that height though.

Taekwondo is pretty much useless for real fighting, it just looks very pretty. I weigh a lot more than that Taekwondo guy, I'd just sit on him

Kung Fu masters have better lines in movies.

"Your tiger claw is good, but it is no match for my snake fist. Prepare to get beaten up!"
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is not a vice." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964 GOP Nomination acceptance speech (not George W. Bush 40 years later...)
                        2004 Presidential Candidate
2008 Presidential Candidate (for what its worth)
