I´ve tried a few of these, but they´re either annoying or absurdly complicated. All I want is a reader that pops up a message saying that this and that article is new. Preferably as an extension in Firefox. Is there such a reader? Suggestions please!

For example, I didn´t know that famous snooker player Paul Hunter died of cancer just recently (or even that he had cancer...) Or that Jeffery Hammond had a severe crash while shooting a stunt segment for Top Gear. This is what a good news reader does IMO, it digs up stories I should be interested of but can´t be arsed to search for actively...
