As much as I might personally prefer McCain as President (over anybody), I'd vote Hillary just to teach the GOP a lesson. I hope she wins, then raises taxes and minimum wage, then accidentally takes away all the old Republican's SS money (i.e. doesn't fix the problem), then bans guns, then bans SUVs, then has a public abortion, then reveals she's a lesbian......and to top it all off, the whole nation votes Democrat again in 2010.

I think that'll about do it to punish the GOP for the Bush administration.

I wouldnt be surprised, if, in the case, Hillary became president, more than 3 million Americans, would start believing that she is the anti christ.

I post in 1 catholic and and 1 generic christian forum, both are made mainly of americans, and there is intense widespread hatred for hillary, with some nuts who think she is the anti christ.

That doesnt really mean a lot, since now the usa has 300 million people

I do think she is very antagonistic for many americans and democrats should find someone more to the center, like gore

What happened to McCain's promise from 2000 to not run for President again if he lost to GWB?

Also it sucks that Hillary is going to be the nominee. She pretty much has the thing locked up given how much money she's raised but I still think we could find a better candidate.

I don't get this. What the Republicans did to the Clintons was nothing short of criminal. This is trivial swift-boating compared to that.

I'm a Democrat, but I also know that too many American voters have a knee-jerk, irrational fear of any politician that is more liberal than the pope.

We won't see Hilary elected in 2008 because of this.

I lost some respect for McCain due to this "compromise" over torture, but overall I still generally like his character. I continue to disagree with him on various issues, though. If he really did win the GOP nomination, I'd have to seriously consider voting for him. He won't though, so I will likely be spared that.

I don't like Hillary at all. But if it's her vs. [insert Republican rightwing goon here], I'll hold my nose and vote for her.

I was considering voting for him over Hillary up till he voted to gut habeas corpus. That, IMO, forever marks him as a soulless hack only after furthering his personal ambitions. And if it's a contest between two of a kind, I might as well go with the one I agree with a little more (or vote SPUSA). The only Republican that I'd consider voting for right now is Lincoln Chafee.

                      McCain vs Hillary?

Id be in heaven. I could go into the voting booth knowing that whoever won the country would be in good hands.

We'll get someone like Jeb instead who's willing to play the game with the nutjobs from the GOP.
I'd vote for Dennis before Jeb.

That's the best reason I've seen for voting for her.

Isn't that her platform you just summed up. (Except the public abortion part because no amn would touch her)
