Second is probably Economics.
This prize went to the right man . Microcredit is something which even India needs to do right . We have so many villages , so many people just like Bangladesh .
It is interesting to note that he is unwittingly working against the rising fundamentalism in Bangladesh . When people realise that banking is actually a good thing , it is good for the economy and a setback to the fundies . May small-scale capitalism like this change the face of the developing world !
I think he's a great guy doing good work as I said before. I just think that innovating new banking practices is fundimentally an economic issue thus he should have won the economics prize.

The Economics prize is a prize for achievements in Economic Science. Its always given to academics, never to businessmen. Giving him the economics prize would be like giving the prize in Medicine to Mother Theresa (who got the Peace Prize). Or giving the prize in Physics to Baradei. In fact Schweitzer (sp?) got the Peace Prize.
