Let's hope so. The US has been denying Russian WTO membership for far too long. As I've said before, the West doesn't want an equal and strong partner in Russia - the West wants a subjugated Russia that it can exploit for natural resources, hence "market liberalisation".
Oh and Russia wants to tell the rest of the world to go away at this stage of a project, I think thats fully within their rights and whether taking such a step will be good or bad for Russia depends very much on the deals that they are spurning. There is some expertise within those big internationals that could have been helpful but a lot of that expertise can be purchased directly.
I'm just happy they are taking the decision now and not inducing folks to invest -- thats the type of thing I find objectionable-- This decision-- telling people you don't want their money is fine . . .. possibly wrong, possibly right but totally within their rights.You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto LuongoComment
