  • Just got a tooth extracted

That bastard's been bugging me for 2 months.

The good news is that the doctor just gave me a prescription for 7.5/500 tabs of hydrocodone/acetaminophin

So, who wants to buy some vicodin?

Save the meds until you feel better. No need to waste them.

      Wuss....

Advil is fine. Other than that, I dont need pain killers. I'd rather endure the pain than to stuff more chemicals in my body.

I didn't ask for it, but if somebody gives me a prescription for hydrocodone you can bet your ass I'm not going to say no.

And I've had one tooth extracted before (wisdom tooth). Really not very painful once it was out. I'm not too worried about it...

Seriously? Wow....They prescribe it to people that get chimio to prevent nausia and dizzyness and also to give them appetit. You react the exact opposite.

                Just have to be different...

                  Acetaminophin is just tylenol.

Hydrocodone is a semi-synthetic opioid which can give mild feelings of euphoria.

Hydrocodone is generally mixed with acetaminophin in order to dissuade deliberate abuse of hydrocodone (acetaminophin is bad for your liver when taken in large doses). Also, acetaminophin and opioids exhibit drug synergy when it comes to pain relief (the effect of both together is stronger than the effect of either separately).

The tooth was half gone. I had a giant filling in that tooth and it cracked in half. The idiot dentist I was at tried to pull it and it fractured above the gumline, so he had to send me to an oral surgeon. The oral surgeon had to drill out the roots of the tooth, so he probably cut my gums up pretty good. The novocaine's wearing off and I can feel all sorts of cuts, but I don't mind that kind of pain. Actual tooth pain is unbearable. My nerve on that tooth was exposed to the air for ~2 weeks and that really sucked. I couldn't sleep too well.

I remember when I had my impacted wisdom teeth extracted. I woke up in the middle of the night with a clogged sensation in my mouth - like my tongue was too thick. I stumbled to the bathroom and tried to clear my mouth. Ended up spitting out a mass of clotted blood.

I got percocet when my wisdom teeth came out. Good times. Good times. And I'd have pulled a knife if you'd suggested I try and skate by on OTC stuff. The pain was enough to keep me from sleeping for a week afterwards. They cut the hell out of my gums. It's been years and I can still feel the deep groove in my jaw behind the last molar on either side.
