I am phenomenally bad at it, but inexplicably obsessed with playing it.

I have an old racquet from my significantly more active childhood and new (tennis) balls that I have only recently acquired. There are tennis courts in a park behind my house. And despite being extremely poor right now (and generally opposed to such books), I have bought Tennis For Dummies, but only because it was written by a name I recognize - the lesser of the two McEnroe brothers. (Although something in the back of my mind is telling me there are three. Anyways, I mean Patrick.)

    What do I do?

There are two ways to be good at tennis. One is to be naturally not only very sporty, but with a particular gift for this difficult game. The other is to play for hours every week from the age of about three or four, coached by a tennis-nut of a dad (or mum).

As someone who, as a child, used to have to sweep the snow off the courts at 8.00am on a winters day to play, I have some experience of the latter, and have a few pieces of advice, apart from practice, practice, and practice.

      1. Keep your eye on the ball - all the way to the racket.
      2. Hold the racquet firmly as you play the shot.
      3. Try to anticipate your opponents shot as early as possible, to give yourself time to get into line to play it.
      4. Watch Roger Federer and marvel.

Hm. Know where I can buy this gift thing you speak of?

Oh yes. This one I already do.

          Change gender!

Is it just me, or does Kim Clijsters have one hell of a nice cleavage? I think it's partly the cut of her top - nice angle on the shoulders draws the eye in etc.

Wow. That's not the top I was thinking of, but the picture has its merits.

Clearly we need to see the top you're thinking of.

To be fair, I wouldn't call Clijsters a babe. She's pretty much fugly, in fact, but she does have some good assets.
