Basically, Syria wanted an excuse to keep Hezbollah from having to disarm so they fabricated false maps in an attempt to "prove" Israel hadn't completely withdrew. The UN looked at the maps and the UN's experts concluded that they were completely doctored and that historic maps in the UN's own archives (something like 16 different maps from different historic periods) all showed the Shabaa Farms not being part of Lebanon.Originally posted by chegitz guevara
