It seems that the Vedas describe a huge explosion and that there are vitrified stones and the radiation level is much higher than normal there (to be taken very critically of course)Nuclear weapons!!? Yes it is Aswan, famous for the Aswan High dam, and the temples of Philae and Abu Simbel both of which were moved by the rising waters once the dam was completed - a nice place and shame I didn't have longer there!
All the boats are for the Nile Cruises to Luxor, but if you want to go in style take a Felucca!
