    @ avoiding Citgo.

Really? That's really funny. In a pathetic sorta way.

Whereas the OP (plus title) is funny in a comical sorta way.

I avoided Citgo for awhile. I just think the stations by and large are seedy and scummy.

I prefer my oily pollution producers to have a bt more refinement.

I find that Citgo is often the cheapest here in CT. Almost always, as a matter of fact. Thus, I often tank up there.

But then I'm a goddamn liberal traitor and all that.

I must admit I assumed (doh) that you avoided it for political reasons. If it's for the same reason as Ogie, that's neither funny nor pathetic.

Mixture of reasons really. The biggest being that they aren't usually the cheapest station where I live. I make no apologies for politics playing a role in my decision though.

Only as a last resort. Cheap gas doesn't do it for me when we're talking a whopping $.05/gallon difference. I want clean facilities for my quickie mart binges.

By the way, being a godless liberal traitor and all, do send your money directly to Chavez or is it laundered first through Citgo US.

Directly from the pump to my latin hero!

I just pay at the pump - I hardly ever go into the quicky mart thingies. If I do, it's rarely at a Citgo, though. Fair point, that.

Sure, ok. I make none for thinking avoiding Citgo b/c of Chavez is funny. Support Saudi Arabia instead! Yay!

7-11 just dropped Citgo due to an economic boycott of their stores. It's sad that people are so petty but it is the consumers' choice.

I find the cheapest places are the little independents or failing that Costco. You have to be a member to shop at Costco but the gas is often $0.20 per gallon less plus there are all those other goodies at Costco.

Right, you have to be a member. I'm not, and there aren't any Costco's close by. There is a Sam's Club sorta close... but I don't want to drive 15 minutes to buy groceries when Stop & Shop is 1 mile from my house.

whats really weird is that theres actually a Lukoil station here. I kid you not. I would avoid them, but sometimes when youre leaving Tysons Corner Center, its just too convenient.
