The thing is, and this is what the Daily Mail will totally fail to grasp, is that it makes a lot of sense. I'm in the East of England. Ahh... Languages change easily enough, if you really want it that is. Take the French for example. In the ol' days, the north of France was pretty much Flemish, and the east was more German, while in the west Bretons were a peskier bunch to assimilate.
