  • I've become a Sunday School teacher

    Be afraid, be very afraid.

Gave my first class today - on the Trinity. Let's not muck around with the easy subjects eh?

My class has 16 kids - aged 11 and 12 - so its a bit like debating religion with people here

My oldest son is in the class. I had fun with it, the kids didn't seem too bored.

Hope they don´t get mad at you if you don´t constantly condemn the Theory of Evolution and praise Creationism *ggg*

Why? Most of the kids was not even born when they released their last album.

Yeah, I wondered about how to treat stuff where you have doubts about church doctrine.

I'll be teaching them its a symbolic story of course, like a parable, not literally true but full of deep meaning

I'll also tell them to respect those who believe its literally true.

you ought to have them re-enact some of the key scenes.

                        In The beginning..

What is your subject matter on in Genesis?

Do you have the curriculum already?

Does it tie in with older groups in the church?

I ask because for years the subject matter for Sunday School was allways the same, just presentedon different levels depending on maturity level.

Make them play Civilization IV. It starts with "In the beginning", so it's class-related.
