Germany and Italy are the two most prominant examples.

I think I've find that Germany and Italy were created in the second part of the 19th century.

Is that good? yes or no?

Wasn't Belgium formed in this way?
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

Germany definitely got stronger due to this and, because of the diplomacy od Bismarck enjoyed some decades of prosperity and peace.

No. Belgium became independend from The Netherlands in the 19th century.

Modern Romania was formed in 1859 from the union of Moldova and Wallachia. Mind you, the term Moldova was used in the 19th century to designate a completely different territory than 20th century Republic of Moldova.

Greece and Serbia won their independence from the Ottoman Empire during the 19th century. Bulgaria became an autonomous region within the empire but I'm not sure when it gained full independence.

Didn't Norway become semi-independent during the 19th century?

Bulgaria became something like a vassal state, a principality. But it was pretty independent. In 1885 we were united with the southern part of Bulgaria which was an authonomous ottoman province and even fought a war with Serbia right after that event.

The official full independance was gained on 22 September 1908.
