    Canadian's Brace For New Conscription Law


    Alberta, Canada
    11:22 p.m.

    Alberta today announed plans for a history making sweep towards national protection, by placing into effect a mandatory signup of all males 18 years or older.

    Opposition had been vocal, and at times violent acts have seemed inevitable.

    Jack Sprat, of a grassroots party opposed to conscription, was taken into custody today for terroristic phone calls to government offices.

          Alberta's economy is the strongest economy any province in the history of Canada has ever seen.

                  I think that may be where you'll be stationed for basic training. Nicer than Lackland A.F.B. by a lot. You should enjoy it relatively.

                          If the base is in Alberta I might think this is a good thing, that's about the only way I could afford housing in Alberta if I were to move there
