    Which presidents were Homosexual/Bisexual?

I have heard several times that Lincoln was Bisexual. But haven't seen any real evidence in favor. I have heard that Buchanan was homosexual, and did see evidence in favor. I did see evidence that Eleanor Roosevelt was bisexual.. but based upon that evidence I think it was likely caused because of FDR's lack of interest in her.

Other claims of bisexual leaders are Nixon, Pierce, Garfield, Hoover, and our current president Bush.

I don't think I have ever seen any evidence for this, does anyone know any of the history?

I do not think that Lincoln was bisexual or gay. Those who automatically assume that he was, just because he slept with guys are ignorant about the traveling accomodations and some of the living accomodations during the nineteenth century. Because of the accomodations they often had, men often slept with one another without having sex.

And as for intimate letters that men sometimes wrote to one another during the nineteenth century, it seems that such men could express strong, but platonic feelinigs of love and caring towards their male friends. They were more like platonic soulmates who understood one another more than most other friends or family could.

The nineteenth century was a whole different social world than what we have today.

Yeah, that is sort of similiar to my thoughts on Lincoln. If you disagree with my thoughts on Buchanan, please address that specifically. I don't have any thoughts on Pierce.. or Garfield.

The only one I've ever heard anything serious about was Buchanan...

Hell, I have slept with men many a time, and am not gay at all.

I'm less informed about Buchanan's personal life history than that of Lincoln.

Maybe someone else here can do a better job than I could?

                              Tchaikovsky was gay. Fact!

But was he President, is a bit more dubious.
