Not all that smart if the pig escaped slaughter only to run out in the highway.

does the pig get out of a death sentence because of this?

I heard humans get out of the death sentence is they survive the electric chair. Not sure if that's true.

The standard issue Law Enforcement TASER is the X26. It is not intended to be able to take down large farm animals. The TASER MX, a different model not intended for use against humans, can take down a large bull. The pig wouldn't stand a chance.

                How is this possible?

A malfunctioning chair does not constitute "surviving". In actuallity the sentence has not yet been carried out.

I used to visit an abattoir and I was talking to the onsite vet. He was saying the buggers are bright and have some fair idea of the fate that is going to meet them, so they will fight. He said they don't carry anything as wussy as a stun gun or a taser...they have a .357 Magnum

I very much doubt they have an idea what's about to befall them, but like most creatures they don't like change. After being in a pen for however long any change is going to cause panic.
