Does that title scare anyone else?

Got my first business card and laser-etched glass nameplate today for my new job -- and a window office facing Bay Street + the CN tower on the 2nd-from-the-top floor.

I've finally moved into my new apartment -- I'm living in High Park in west Toronto and have got it set up. What a ***** moving is, not to mention driving across the country.

And, sometime before the end of the year, I get a two-week business trip to New York City to meet with some investment banks (clients) and our corporate HQ on Broadway.

    Life moves fast. Play hard!

There is no point to this thread.

In a perfect world, his first client should be an Apple geek
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

My team lead is, and I'm not kidding, a Philosophy major from Montreal.

(To be fair, he is an anglophone and also has a Masters in CompSci from McGill)

I have to use the network of the investment bank I'm working for on this project. The bastards have Websense and a proxy required for internet access.

Don't know why they even bother. Within 5 minutes I'd set up an SSH tunnel to my home PC to act as a proxy. Now I get my Google Talk and can access Poly again. And to them all they see is encrypted SSH traffic.

Go ahead with the shirtless pics, no mods will bother looking in the thread.

                      Congrats - good for you.

High Park is very nice - it's the most 'Vancouver-like' part of Toronto.

The cross-country drive does kinda suck when it's not recreational, but there are still some cool bits, and at least you weren't doing it in the winter.

I know from personal experience that initially business travel seems really cool - until you actually have to do it regularly.

                      Enjoy the life!

And Calgary-like. I used to live near Bowness Park and Nose Hill Park in Calgary, so it's similar.

True enough. Travel is supposed to be pretty regular to New York City, and to a lesser extent Boston and Seattle. New York City's pretty close though.

                              Forgot about that.

I could use him to film a porn video and profit off of it, though. I have a really cute friend with herpes, too.
