hahahaah.. I'm watching Penguins vs Flyers.. 10 minutes in, 2-0 for Penguins.. And most of all, the greatest player of all time, Jarkko Ruutu, 1+1 already... I'm telling you.. he'll put Jagr in shame this season, not only in points but I reckon he'll knock Jaromir out few times as well.

LOL, the flames fan thinks the penalty shot in favour of the flames was a brutal call while the Oiler fan thinks the penalty shot against the Oilers was a legit call
and in case you missed it, the Oilers lead 2-0 after the 1st.
Another note, the Oilers on a 5-3 had 5 fowards on the ice, I wasn't sure at first, but it seemed to work pretty well. Good puck movement and with Stoll on one point you have the shot from the point. Not sure I look forward to them trying it 5-4 though.

Did you watch it? It was a blatant holding the stick, the commentators observed this clearly as well...yet Iginla gets put in the box on the PK for a penalty that should've gone the other way? That's a brutal call.

I misunderstood you. I thought you meant the penalty shot call on Iginla was a brutal call. I agree it was a penalty shot, though if he had hit the puck before tripping him I don't think it would have been called.

Toronto — I can certainly imagine a scenario under which the Maple Leafs make the playoffs, but it always ends with flashbacks to last season, watching Bruins games where Andrew Raycroft was incorrigibly awful on many nights. If he and fellow ex-Bruin Hal Gill bomb out early, the cat calls will be merciless in Hogtown, and GM John Ferguson Jr. won't last the season. That said, I like a lot of the elements on this team, and there are a lot of underdog types that I know I'll find myself cheering for this season (Kyle Wellwood and Ian White come to mind). The championship drought continues.
And Calgary as 1st in the West:
Calgary — In a tough, tough division, the Flames are the cream of the crop. Make no mistake, Alex Tanguay is an elite-level talent, a player who has posted a 1.10 points per game the past two seasons and is still just 26 years old. His presence alone makes Calgary a far more dynamic offensive team (not hard to do given how aenimic they've been) and if any of the kids here can step it up, they'll be difficult to beat. Everyone thought Ottawa would be in the Cup final last year, and we know what happened. And lots of people were predicting the Flames would go deep, but Calgary choked too.
Oh and Raycroft has the skills to be a No.1 goalie. Last year was just an off year.Golfing since 67Comment
