And don't be concerned about the little things like Laundry Mats and such - there's always plenty of that kind of stuff around.

Btw.. there's an 'East Side' and a 'West Side', as well as 'Down River' area which is south and west to the city. I grew up mostly in the suburbs north of the main city.

The downtown area is fairly small actually. Most of the city is residential sprawl with pockets of commercial shopping and malls; stores lining the main roads, etc.
