By and large. I'm probably a bit more socially liberal than my parents (who somewhat oddly seem to be getting more socially liberal as they get older) and a decent (but not massively) amount more fiscally conservative. Although as individuals, they are far more fiscally conservative than me. Different upbringings, I suppose.

The trend is that as people get older they lean to the conservative side, so generally kids will eventually become like their parents.

My father is a moderate repub.
Now that I'm over 50, so am I.
But my wife likes to cancel out my vote whenever possible.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Mother is a Socialist/Communist (somewhere in that range).
Father is a Moderate, leaning to the left.
Me, although I come off as a Conservative and I usually vote Repug (see my sig), I am a social liberal (ex: I support gay marriage and abortion). I only vote repug because my world views are much more conservative (and they are more important to me).
