The Musical Box, Genesis, The Lamb Lie Down on Broadway, Extravaganza, Selling England By The Pound, Black Show
I highly reccommend their concerts if you are a fan of Gabriel-era Genesis..
Thanks for the tip! I've been wanting to see these guys. I'll try and make it to the Montreal show.
My personal favorites are Selling england by the pound, And then there were three and Second's Out.
As for solo stuff, i like some of Gabriel's (mostly before So) and some of Collins, but Rutherford's Smallcreep's Day is my favorite.
Like some early Genesis (Dancing with the Moonlit Knight is spectacular) and some of the later stuff. Much of the later stuff is garbage, though definatly not all of it.
Collins solo stuff (early stuff good later stuff crap)
Gabriel solo stuff Solsbury Hill Biko

“In a democracy, I realize you don’t need to talk to the top leader to know how the country feels. When I go to a dictatorship, I only have to talk to one person and that’s the dictator, because he speaks for all the people.” - Jimmy Carter
I thought this was going to be another religious thread related to the "Book of ..." I voted for early Collins, but liked all of the Collins era.
No matter where you go, there you are. - Buckaroo Banzai
"I played it [Civilization] for three months and then realised I hadn't done any work. In the end, I had to delete all the saved files and smash the CD." Iain Banks, author
I like it very much, especially this part that sounds like beating little bunny (hit + a squeak right after it)
I missed this post.
You certainly have a unique manner of expressing yourself.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead
Gabriel, So, Us, Up and Passion are really good too. I was introduced to P. gabriel works by these albums; I really liked them.
I was a big Genesis fan in the 70s and 80s. Gabriels solo stuff just after he left Genesis absolutely floored me.
Solsbury Hill is probably still my fav Gabriel Tune. But I agree his solo stuff by and large is all good including later works like SO, Passion, et al.

What does it mean to "floor" somebody?

I likey teh Genesis. Many good songs, some not good, but nothing I would call unlistenable dreck. I answered banana also because I don't really know that much about teh individual members other than Phil Collins. I prolly heard the Gabriel stuff on the radio without knowing who it was.
