Visit First Cultural Industries There are reasons why I believe mankind should live in cities and let nature reclaim all the villages with the exception of a few we keep on display as horrific reminders of rural life.-Starchild Meat eating and the dominance and force projected over animals that is acompanies it is a gateway or parallel to other prejudiced beliefs such as classism, misogyny, and even racism. -General Ludd
It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead
I live in the provincial town of Hengelo. Due to constant major building projects in the past 20 years almost any pictures of it are out-of-date within months, and the architecture of the town is a really weird mixture of old, new and in between (and many different styles), but here we go:
Part of the nightlife and shopping area (on a very quiet day):
Part of the southern entrance road into the town centre:
Modern mall and clock tower in foreground, semi-modern city hall and clock tower in background, historic centre in between (well, as historic as you can get for a town that was largely bombed flat in WW2):
St Lambertus Basilica (miraculously survived the WW2 bombings almost unschathed):
City Theatre, seen from the side:
Largest nightclub (the parking lot in the foreground is now a large new cinema):
My old highschool (this changed so much in the past few years I don't even recognise most of the stuff in these pics -- looks pretty cool though):
Oldest part of town:
Newest part of town:
Average neighbourhoods:
The street my parents live in, and where I used to live as well until a few years ago (I don't have any pics of the street I live in now but it's a big sandbox ATM anyway as they're building a new supermarket and apartment building/community centre just across the street from my building):
