cool. They all seem to come back, if only briefly. I keep meaning to leave for a few years just so I can have a welcom back thread. But that seems like too much work.
You were here when I first joined back 2000. How is Korea thesedays. I was there, Pusan for Christmas of 1963. After a trip to Hong Kong and Back to Pusan in the middle of Jan 64 and then up to Pohong late Jan early Feb for a week or two working with the ROK Marine Corp.
Hi connor, are you going to marry a Korean woman just like Boshko?

Hello there connorkimbro, just a few days ago I contemplated the possibility of you being RoboCon. But then you probably have no idea what I'm talking about

No plans to yet. Who knows? I dated two korean women last time I was here but they both turned loony almost right away.
Why do I always attract the loony ones, I don't know....
Speaking of Boshko, is he still around? He's still the only apolytoner I've met in real life. I was wondering how he was doing.

Six years! And not one single bullet dodged? What are US tax dollars being spent on? Pacifists?
Well, I just havn't deployed yet. I keep "just missing" the boat, so to speak. Closest I've gotten to deploying was about 12 hours... I was on order to deploy with another unit (I was in the 101st, my orders attached me to 10th mountain light) but they were rescinded at the last moment. Otherwise, I've been in training or here in korea.
I don't know what good a korean linguist would do in Iraq or Afghanistan anyway
Hi to everyone else, thanks for the "welcome backs"

Been a long time since you told us you were going in the Army. IIRC, I noted I had tried that life and wished you luck. Apparently you've had the luck. Stop by more often.

Not so much "luck" as "tolerance."
The army has been pretty good to me so far. I had mucked up my life pretty good before I joined, and it helped turn things around. Couple more years though, and I'll be done
