The GOP does owe her big time, and has helped her. They gave her a solid GOP district from which to launch her congressional career, but she's gone bat-**** crazy. The GOP thinks she's hhurting their chances to get rid of Bil Nelson, but probably the only GOPer who could beat him would be Jew Bush. They do recognize, however, that she's a lightening rod for everyone who's pissed off about 2000, which is a sizeable chunk of the state. If she'd waited a few more years, she might have had a decent shot.
The more serious problem is that in a year where the election's a referendum on the President, she really focuses attention on the fraudulent nature of his first "election."
Lest you think she didn't fix the election, the State admitted without admitting that it fixed the elections in a consent decree with the ACLU. They said, we didn't do it, but we'll fix it so it won't happen again.
