Nah, the future Mrs KH has just started the training program a bit early.

Congrats, and as Arrian says - don't do as that sleeper - it will be remembered when you don't want to remember it
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

If you're going to do something embarassing, get drunk before the ceremony, nail a couple of hot bridesmaids, and when the priest asks if you will "take this woman" tremble uncontrollably, vomit all over yourself, then burst into tears and flee the church.

If this was CG I would think you were going for a 100-0.

Interesting it being Unitarian.. family quasi-religious or is she a Unitarian?

I don't actually know much about Unitarians, except that they can be Christian related, and they were all the rage among Deists back in the 18th century.

Her friend is a unitarian and Deborah's been to that church on a number of occasions. Deborah was raised Presbyterian (sort of). I'm a 2nd generation atheist. I doubt the Presbyterians would have married us without asking all sorts of uncomfortable questions. The Unitarians, on the other hand, don't give a ****.

                      Congratulations and good luck.

Lots of atheists and agnostics settle on the Unitarians to keep their remaining believing relatives under control. Good idea.

Wish I could be there to dance at your wedding. (You might not wish for that, but that's a different tale.)

That's true. Unitarians are very wide.

It probably depends on how liberal the church is. I know that Presbyterians were hardcore back in the day, but from my experience they aren't as much now. Of course, many churchs ask a few questions even if they aren't hardcore...

(and some of those questions are good for everyone (many pastors have some training in marriage counseling), but I can see why you would want to dodge some of questions (being atheist))

(my brother actually had very low religous wedding at a lake.. and he and his wife are Christian.. so you aren't alone in dodging the questions)

Yeah, that's why we wrote our own ceremony and had a JP marry us. But I imagine a unitarian service is pretty innocuous.

Meh. My wife is nominally Catholic, as is her entire family, some to greater degrees (like her mother). My aunt, uncle and cousin on my dad's side are rabid born-again Christians. We did a non-church ceremony conducted by a JP with literally zero religious content. No one seemed to care.

I have faith that you've chosen wisely. Still, it never hurts to have a hip flask and a thorough knowledge of all the emergency exits at the church. Good luck!

14 hours. Crunch time. The rehearsal is done. All that's left is the ****ing ceremony.
