Redskins and Cowboys have long standing rivalry. Goes back to conception and Cowboy owner gaining right to 'skins fight song. He used it as leverage to get the vote needed.

Unfortunately, if you look at the record, the Cowboys are definitely winning the series. Still, I'm a Skins fan.

              Vikings receiver Robinson is jailed

              1 hour, 1 minute ago

              ST. PETER, Minn. -
Minnesota Vikings receiver Koren Robinson was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving Tuesday night near the team's training camp.

Robinson was caught speeding on radar at about 10:45 p.m. and refused to stop, Chief Matt Peters said Wednesday. Robinson was arrested by police about 10 miles away in Mankato, where the Vikings hold their training camp.

He was in the Nicollet County jail on Wednesday, with charges possible later in the day. He may face a felony charge of fleeing police along with a possible DWI charge, Peters said.

He was given field tests for drunken driving, police said.

Robinson's agent, Alvin Keels, didn't immediately respond to messages for comment. A Vikings spokesman said the team had no immediate comment.

The 26-year-old Robinson spent 28 days in an alcohol treatment facility last year after being cut by the
Seattle Seahawks. Given a second chance with the Vikings, he turned into a solid receiver and made his first trip to the Pro Bowl. The Vikings gave him a new three-year contract in March that included $5.5 million in guaranteed money.

In July, Robinson said in an interview with the AP that he knew he'd always be under scrutiny as a recovering alcoholic. He acknowledged that he was taking some relapse prevention classes in preparation for the NFL season, when he said he would have little time to work on maintaining his recovery.

                  Seau could unretire

With the wrist injury keeping Tedy Bruschi out until maybe the 1st game of the season, the Patriots have pursued Junior Seau.

                  Retirement can wait.
Belichick, Pats convince Seau to play one more year.

Assuming he passes a routine physical exam on Friday, Junior Seau will have spent a grand total of three days as a retired football player.

Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowler, will now have a chance to earn a 13th trip to Hawaii while playing for the New England Patriots. If the Patriots find him healthy, he's expected sign a one-year, $1-million contract with New England, with the chance to earn extra money with some lucrative incentives.

It is an amazing story. Seau, 36, announced his retirement in an emotional press conference in San Diego on Monday afternoon, convinced he had played his last down in the NFL after 16 years with the Chargers and Dolphins. But on Tuesday, he got a call from the Patriots, asking him if his retirement was permanent. And even though he was ready to move on with the rest of his life, Seau said he might not be ready to retire.

After a couple of days of negotiations between his agent, Marvin Demoff, and the Patriots, Seau got a phone call Thursday morning from New England coach Bill Belichick. Belichick proved to be a closer as formidable as Mariano Rivera. Belichick told Seau he was needed. He told Seau that he could join a defense with Mike Vrabel, Tedy Bruschi and Richard Seymour and compete for a fourth Super Bowl title at the highest level of football.

After that conversation, Seau was hooked. He told Belichick he badly wanted to continue playing. And if Patriots doctors concur that Seau is all the way back from a 2005 Achilles injury that prematurely ended his season in Miami, he'll suit up as a badly needed addition to a beleaguered New England linebacking corps. New England will not have Bruschi in all likelihood until the first game of the season at the earliest after he underwent surgery earlier this month to repair a broken bone in his wrist.

Seau was scheduled to take a red-eye flight to San Diego to Boston late Thursday night.
This was from last night. Haven't seen anything new today so far.

Seau's just going to be taking Ted Johnson's old run stuffing job. He's still got enough left for that.
