Why can't WMP get my album info?

    Why can't WMP get my album info?

    I have the job of moving all my mom's CD's onto her Zen Micro. I don't want to type in all this info by hand

    It just sits and sits and sits until it decides windowsmedia.com does not resolve. I've added WMP to the Windows Firewall exception list, so... wtf?

    And why the **** can't iTunes contact the database it uses either?

      Because Apple Computers is evil and uses it's own formats which aren't compatible with anything. Apple is exactly what nerds used to blame Microsoft for, I hope it'd die as a company.

      Oh, and I think foobar2000 owns wmp when it comes to sound files. Irfanview owns wmp when it comes to video. WMP is way too heavy.

                              Weird, it works flawlessly for me. I just pop a CD in and iTunes fetches the info on the internet. Maybe someone turned the function off?

                              There are alternatives, though. Like Tag&rename.

                              Mp3 tag editor Tag&Rename - edit tag in mp3, wma, mp4 files, automatic discogs and freedb import

                              Tag & Rename - software to edit music files tag, it supports mp3 (all ID3v2 tag versions), wma, ogg, mp4 (m4a, m4p), flac, ape. You can organize tags using freedb or discogs, rename files, etc.
