Some higher capacity magazines for various rifles are still legal to possess because they were grandfathered in... i.e. pre-ban. It varies by state, IIRC.

You can still even purchase some of these pre-ban magazines from vendors, depending on local laws.
To us, it is the BEAST.

Clearly the best tactic to take in court. MtG, have they allowed the "Not Guilty by Reason of Grand Theft Auto" plea yet, or is that going to take a few more years?

And if it was French vodka, that's even worse. Everyone knows the rise of Communism was the best thing to happen to this country. The rise of France is just annoying

Actually congress just let that ban expire not too long ago. High capacity magazines are now left up to the state or local politicians to regulate.

Also he dropped out to enter the NFL draft and then spent a year fighting the supreme court for the right to do it. He lost and then entered the draft the next year and by that time had lost a step or two and was without any other redeeming values. Shanahan from the Broncos took pity and took a chance on him and Clarett proved him wrong so they cut him loose.

Just another example of a super jock getting his way his entire life and not being able to handle when someone says no.

No, the impression I'm getting is that he was surrounded by really stupid agents who convinced him that he had already made it and was entitled to everything now now now!

Oh, and he wasn't administered a BAC test, so there's no DD charge. I think he just got weapons violation, various driving offenses, resisting arrest...a total of $5.5 million or so in bail, which he can't afford.

It's a pity that he has to be tried for some sort of concrete offense. I think any attorney, even the very best, would have a hard time raising a reasonable doubt that he wasn't up to something seriously wrong with four guns and body armor. But I don't think he can be tried for "wigging out with firearms, nature unspecified." Proving that he had any specific form of mayhem in mind could be extremely difficult.

On the other hand, if he miraculously wriggles out of this, he's got a bright future ahead of him as Grey Goose's edgy new celebrity spokesman. "When some seriously scary **** is going down...accept no substitutes."
