I took that in the first semester. That was the worst part of University. It separated the dropouts from the serious students. I passed, though.

That's surprising. In my undergrad coursework Numerical Methods was a junior/senior course for people getting a BS -- the BA students never even had to take it. (Yes, I went to a college that offered a BA in computer science. Stop laughing at me.)

Did / will you learn about diffie-q methods, or is it strictly limited to quadrature and divided differences?

I have a B.Sc in Paper Science and a M.Sc in Chemical Engineering with major in Paper Chemistry. The Math courses contained a little of everything and lasted only 1 semester. BA students rarely study math at all.

                I'm going back to school!

Though, I'm just repeating some courses necessary to raise my GPA so I can get into a real school.

Come January I'll be going to North Central College here in Naperville... I need a minimum of 30 credits to graduate with a Bachelor's in Psychology, though I can take up to 51. I am leaning towards an Organizational Leadership Minor, though I'm also considering a Professional Conflict Resolution Minor.

After I get my Bachelor's, I am going to start working on a Ph.D. in clinical psychology. I have not thought about where I would want to go to school for this. That's about a year and a half away.

It's taken me a while to find what I wanted to do, but I now have that direction in my life that I was lacking and the motivation to accomplish my goals. I'm certainly capable enough, I just lacked the will.

It's going to be a long haul, but I am going to do it.
To us, it is the BEAST.

I already have 4 semesters of calculus and a semester of linear algebra from high school. (I have about 20 semester courses of credit total.)

I'll continue working on my major in Political Science, so a lot of boringly named courses (Political Theorists II, Contemporary Political Analysis, Political Language I, etc.) in that. I'm also going to try to qualify for a Journalism and/or a History minor, so I can start minor studies. I'm probably also taking a basic economics course and a basic statistics course.
Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!

I need to take some courses in Portugese if I want to stay in the paper business.

Within 10 years from now, the business will mostly have moved from US and Europe to Brazil. At least the hardwood part of the business, which is the part I know best.
