  • I hate spellcheckers with a passion

Microsoft Word just helpfully underlined "isopropanol" in red, claiming that it isn't a word. The new beta of Firefox has a spellchecker too, which I disabled.

Why must we be treated like idiots?

I love spellcheckers with a passion

Then I'm afraid we can't be friends.

Spellcheckers are useful for people who can't type or spell.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Wait, what are you shaking your head at? Spellcheckers, people who can't type or spell, the acts of typing and spelling, or me?

I know what you mean, but as long as spellcheckers have options to disable them, then they're fine. I like being able to check words that I'm not sure of, but if writing in a technical sphere, or with lots of proper names the always-on checkers drive me mad.

What really annoyed me was the MS Grammar thingie trying to tell me what is or isn't good English. Grrrr!

type in Chinese- there's no spelling in that language.

Is the Chinese writing system proof that Alphabet should be a optional tech on the Civ tech tree? That's what I wanna know.

That's why I use "Add to Dictionary" on an almost-daily basis.

As a lot of my documents are filled with column and table names for databases, and unique to the system I'm working on, this is a hopeless task.
