You know, I keep thinking the thread title is 'Moving to Kirklees' every time I see it...

Guardian. Are you seeing some sickly cool northern lights?
Ef þú getur lesið þetta þá kanntu kannski íslensku. Það getur verið að þú sért að vera sniðugur eins og viss herramaður sem ég nafngreini ekki. Eða að þú sért Færeyingur eða Nojari.

I don't know who wrote that, but the Norwegian and the English aren't too great either.

Well, it's been a while since I've had the chance to look for them, but I did see some a couple of weeks ago. Lots of green and some purple, flickering across the sky. Pretty awesome!

I also saw the sun set most of the sky ablaze for the better part of an hour before coming up last Monday morning on a beautiful, clear winter morning. Likewise as it went down that afternoon. We didn't see stuff like that down south all that often. Some of it, sure, but not like this.

Oh, and about snow, we're up to 4 inches now. But it's still daylight outside. -For another hour or so...

We came out of daylight saving time this weekend - and all of a sudden the sun went down just after 2pm. Negative 13 Celcius (about 8 or so degress Fahrenheit) and about a foot of snow here now. Only 3 more weeks until we won't see the sun at all for a couple of months. And we've both been working like dogs lately. But we're doing pretty good.

Silly me have yet to post those pictures. I'll get it done some day...

What's the suicide rate there? I imagine it is relatively high compared to the rest of Norway.

Maybe it is, I'll have to check. Negative 20 Celcius today, so that's about negative 4 in Fahrenheits. It's cold...

It's half an hour after midnight and I just got done at work. Been at it since about 8 in the morning, so it's time to get off the computer for a while.

I'll try to get those pics out tomorrow.

                          Hehe.

Sorry, no polar bears around here (they haven't been on the Norwegian mainland for decades, actually), but I did finally manage to get some pictures out.

I got pretty annoyed with the stupid new version of the site though. I might not use it next time if they keep that stuff without some major fixing...

I left the window open last night. I got up and the thermostat said it was 67 degrees F in my house.

Today's daily high is supposed to be 73 degrees F. The ocean really does keep temperatures very consistant here both night and day.

Heat wave here at the moment: We're close to 0 degrees C / 32 degrees F for the first time since mid-October.

Oh, and we're down to 4 hours of daylight. Starting next week, the sun will be gone completely for a couple of months.

                              Otherwise, life is good.

We're going through a cold spell. Nightly lows have dipped down to 59 degrees F. I've had to close my windows at night.
