American presidents get a comfortable retirement pension when they leave office. Doesn't the UK pension its prime ministers?

I'm going to guess that it is a bit like Canada and they get pensioned as an MP.

Even though most would be parliamentarians with more than 20 years service, many are young enough that they choose to continue working.

We don't have MP's, and our former President's don't join Congress. They just get a check and office space.
