  • Should the US start an 'American Foriegn Legion'?

Those who successfully complete a 6 year TOD become Americans.

They would have to be law abiding in their own countries.

We could add 10 divisions overnight, and put some whoopass on the bad guys, plus gain alot of good people to be Americans...andf refresh the gene pool, and get more ethnic eateries, and when they bring their daughters over well you get my point.

Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

I've often thought about the same thing.

We'd have to do something about their immediate families as well: wives, husbands, kids

What to do with them between the time of enlistment and citizenship? If you bring em in and the relative flakes out or turns terrorist, what to do?

You don't need to steal stuff from the French, Lancer.
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

We already accept foreign citizens into the military as a step towards citizenship. When they successfully complete their enlistment then they get citizenship.

If foreigners are going to be in our uniform then I'd like them working with Americans so that they can learn American cultural values, etc...

They don't have anything worth stealing anymore, Germans got it all and sold it to the Swiss.
