        there are still some ruins after the war...
        Still, what I, unfortunatelly, didn't photo enough, are all the nice, modern, tall building, sky-scrapers perhaps not in an american meaning, but still. It's the main difference between Damascus and Bayrut - Bayrut looks like a modern european city, though communication sux, there's not even a real bus station.

              the clocktower. This area has just been restored and rebuilt, it is one of the nicest city centres I've been to. Tidy, nice architecture, good colour balance.

                              I don't remember, when I've visited Lebanon for the first time. Must check it.
                              Just some?


                              I wouldn't go there, but I was attached to my friends, and they insisted on going with an Iraqi group. So we came to a wax figures museum.
                              To my great sadness, there was no Qaddafi. I told them it's a scandal.
