I didn't insinuate anything. There's a difference between racism, and insulated, whitebread ignorance. Tom Metzger and David Duke are racists, obviously, and I'd expect ol' Dubya to be as repulsed by their views as most people. Doesn't mean he isn't a racially ignorant country club type.

Holy **** ****. I hate Bush. I think he is likely the worst president in US history. I think he's crapped all over the Constitution and gotten thousands of people around the world killed for no good reason.

We purty much agree there, although my problem with Afghanistan is in the details of handling it, and with Iraq is both in the details and level of priority given, rather than the generally worthwhile goals of ridding the world of the Taleban and Saddam.

It is common knowledge, from a site for people who want to study in the USA

Americans tend to require more personal space than in other cultures. So if you try to get too close to an American during your conversation, he or she will feel that you are "in their face" and will try to back away. Try to be aware of this, so if the person to whom you are speaking backs away a little, don't try to close the gap.
