You want Americans to look at India from your point of view. That's natural. Now do me the favor of looking at USA from my point of view in return.
If you're honest, as I really think you are, you'll agree with me. We don't get involved, we're uncaring. We get involved, the other side gets upset. After a point, stupid or not, isolationism will cross the mind.

We're lambasted no matter what. We're the "big dog". As that, we have responsibilities to help others economically. So if and when we do, and generally we do, negatives still fly.
