Burgundy had great culture. You would have won a cultural victory over the Dutch and French, easily.

Under Philip the Good, Dijon really cut the mustard.

                  Northern Italy, yes.

Belgium, no way. France pre-HYW had a vibrant medieval culture, and a pretty solid economy for the standards of the time, which could allow such art to develop.

Much was lost because of the Burgundian betrayal and the Rosbif century-long crime against mankind.

                        The French, d'accord.

Over here its use was banned in police interrogations and in Northern Ireland after an appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.

Same for Johnny Hallyday and Claude Francois records.

Claude François is fun in a Boney M sort of way. Nobody expects great music, but it's fun to listen to cheesy tunes that everybody knows by heart.

I have a particular love for Alexandrie Alexandra. Good childhood memories turn any song into something great

Non non non non non, as King Lear might have said had Racine written any plays as good as those of Shakespeare.

Prodige Namor has been running French rap workshops since 1998. He says rap is all about identity.
And what an identity... neither fish nor flesh.

Hmm, what do you produce besides waffles, sprouts and endives? Is Haagen-Dazs Dutch, Danish, or Belgian? Oh, and Brussels has the EU, the UN's retarded little brother, but that's nothing to be proud of.

We, on the other hand, produce lots and lots of huge ****ing bombs! And ninety percent of the world's inane sitcoms! USA! USA! USA!

Shakespeare was only an average author, and the only reason he's so famous today is because he was the only acceptable author you had in that era, that you can advertise upon

Racine and Corneille can carry such emotion, such power in their pieces, that they put any Rosbif wanabee to shame. No need to weep for Shakespeare, he did have some talent. But it's absurd to compare him with such geniuses, and can only result in frustration to the Rosbif side (or utter blindness, as is your case )
