You mean by invading two countries?

Not really. Normal countries would probably have tried a bit of sabre-rattling first, some diplomacy perhaps, going to the UN, before embarking on a military campaign guaranteed to cause mayhem for years to come.

Imagine if Britain had blockaded and bombed Ireland in response to the IRA.
Exactly how much support do you think Israel could possibly find from the UN? Why should Israel look at international opinion when most countries feel all the problems would go away if Israel disappeared tomorrow? :rolleye:

I'm going to repeat my example from the other two threads: roughly 10 members of a family, including young children, died in an Israeli airstrike. They died because they were hosting the leaders of Hezbollah. How could Israel possibly be to blame for their deaths?

That means they aren't really "terrorists", since they are going after the military and not civilians.
That's wonderful. They're only attacking the army, so Israel shouldn't shoot back

I am. I truly believe that these people are evil, and just as the Nazis, their whole societies must be punished. They collectively support terrorism and so they are collectively evil. The only way to root out this evil is cause so much horror and devistation that it will be generations before Arabs ever again even consider political violence.

That is how you deal with evil.

The Lebonese people support terrorism and this just isn't enough to punish them for it. If there was any justice in the world all of Lebonon should be a smoking ruin.

That Israel has been so restrained in its response to such state sponsored terrorism is a testimont to the humanity of the Israeli people.
Your opinion would appear to have greater validity if you'd call the country/people by its/their actual name. Or at least consistently misspell it the same way each time.

And for crying out loud, calm down. You sound psychotic. Death to the infidels! They rape, murder, and eat kittens for fun! They're not even human! They're going to drag us underground so their Queen can lay her eggs in our brains! Blah blah blah!

You wait until those leaders aren't in a house full of civilians.

                  THAT SIMPLE.

When is the last time you heard about lost of civilians being killed when the US or hell, even the Russian, went after some major militant or terrorist? You think the people we target never go to houses with civilians?

Civilians do not make themselves targets simply be being near a wanted militant. And responsible militaries take great pains to avoid killing innocents.

So it is completely correct to expect more from the IDF.

Switch "arab" with "jew", switch "Nazi" with "Americans", and what you just said could have come from the mouth of Al Zarqawi.

The mentality you are displaying is the root of violence. If you trully believe this, then little by little, there is no different between you and them. NONE.

The fact that bad things accompany something - even if it means innocents die - means nothing. You have to demonstrate that the negatives outweigh the positives.
If you're staunchly against vaccinations (some people are), then by all means, do it. I'd reply, and my pro-vaccination stance wouldn't be shaken, because vaccinations actually save people.

                          I second that, wholeheartedly.

Except you seem to be forgetting that it's okay when Oerdin says it, because he's right and they're evil. You can tell he's given this a lot of sober reflection by the calm and reasonable remarks he makes, such as "scew you."

GePap: why are you arguing with Oerdin? He has completed the slow metamorphosis we've been witnessing for some time. What's the use? Or alternatively, where's the fun?

he is one of the few polytubbies I have met and I like him. I would prefer not to think of him as a bigot based on the statements he has been making lately.

                              That is why.
