And now you know why Americans SUCK at geography in general. With shenanigans like that going on, the deck is heavily stacked against us.

(actually, there's botha Kansas City, Kansas, and a Kansas City Missouri, and there are a few other cities that cross state borders like that)

Kansas City is in Kansas I thought, otherwise it would be Missouri City.

The larger part of Kansas City is in Missouri. The less 'nice' part is in Kansas.

Kansas City Airport goes by the letters "MCI", which of course stands for Missouri City International

There's even many border citites. There's this one city on the Mexican/US border where, on the US side, it's a small little town. Right across the border is a huge metropolitan area. I wonder what they do in towns like that where the major road is the border, or when the border crosses a residential section...

He, there´s a better known example,
there´s the city of Washington and the state of Washington
and both lie on opposite ends of the country

Yeah, Kansas City is one city though it crosses state lines. Thus there is a Kansas City, Kansas as well as a Kansas City, Missouri. I imagine the City started before there was a state line.
