Relying on the goodwill of a rapist to not beat one to death is not smart, further the device is removable. Both of these are affected differently by the fact that the attacker will be on some drug or alcohol(more chance of being beaten to death, less chance of searching and removing the device).

As the vast majority of rape is aquaintance rape, the presumption of extra violence is a false one. Stanger rape is extremely uncommon.
