    You don't. It's raster-only.

You can export the paths, or you can trace it in illustrator, but you can't just save it in a vector format.

You save it as an EPS

Or you can export it as an ai file.

Oh, the problem with EPS is that you can only really use it in Photoshop, you can't open it in Illustrator or Freehand. Or maybe you can in Illustrator.. i'm not sure, I haven't tried that one yet.

              IIRC, Photoshop EPSs are rasterized.

PS CS2 should be able to save PSDs with vector elements, and you should be able to import those directly in to Illustrator CS2. Not sure though. Haven't tried.

Yeah they are rasterized, which is why I don't like using them.

Which sucks because I prefer Photoshops Vector tools to Illustrators of Freehands... sigh

Heck, with PS's vector tools, I really got no need for Illustrator anymore. Teh wife uses Illustrator a lot though.

I don't understand. At least half of the things you can do in Illustrator (etc.) you can't do in PS.

Unless you don't need them, of course.

I'm very good with photoshop, but I suck at vector stuff...

And there aren't any goo tutorials.

There's a reason why Adobe made them -gasp!- two different programs!
